CSW 65 Events
14-26 March 2021

The 65th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65) took place from 15 to
26 March 2021. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CSW65 was held in a hybrid format with mostly virtual
meetings.

The priority theme was “Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life,
as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and
girls”.

Women's Empowerment in a Future World of Work Impacted by Climate Change

Due to the continued impact of the COVID-19, the 66th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) once again took place in a hybrid format from 14 to 25 March 2022. Priority theme was “Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes”.

During the CSW66, International Council of Women also organized virtual parallel event with the theme “Women’s Empowerment in a Future World of Work Impacted by Climate Change”.
